This Week in Life of Me

Hi Ya! Elder Smith here.
So this week has been awesome! 8 new investigators and we have one on date for the 26 of Nov! Oh yeah, life in Maypen is sweet! So we have been cleaning up someone’s house for them because a molitove (homemade) bomb was throw in a while ago, so lots of scrubbing and stuff! So we have been very busy this whole week, so busy is always good, and this week is my 3 month mark! Time has passed so fast! Sorry the email is short but time flies by!

Ants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[from October 24]

So story of the life of Elder Smith!
So my companion Elder Ludlow and I biked for a hour all the way to this place called Vere to meet a refereal out there. The meeting was awesome:  she was super excited when we gave her her own copy of the Book of Mormon! On top of all that, she had a bit of an ant problem at her place so ... yeah, I leaned my bike up on a 55-gallon barrel out just outside the house (and we met outside:  most lessons in Jamaica are outside for y'all’s info), so I thought nothing of it. When we were leaving my bike's left handle was 100% covered with the ants just going crazy! I wacked about a few hundred off before Elder Ludlow and I thought to take a picture, but we did it, anyway. The camera doesn't do it justice for how many ants there were.  Well, that’s the story of the week this week. Until next week for ya'll.  Have a wonderful week!
Yours Truly,
Elder Nate Smith :)

Heroes Day!

[from October 18]
So this week, Monday was Heroes Day and it was awesome.  We had the youth of the church and young adults of the branch together and had a really fun activity. I wish I had picture of the most intense game of Duck, Duck Goose I have ever been a part of, but it was a blast. As far as life of a missionary, I am out of the house and all better now, and since I was down for the count for so long Elder Ludlow and I are having to basically rebuild our area again, so it has been a journey but a fun one. We have met lots of new people and have visited a lot of new places, like a place called New Bowens in our area (Where the picture was taken). So, yeah, not too much stuff to tell or cool stories as of yet.

Take care, everyone!

As Always,

Elder Nate Smith

Freedom!!!!!

[from October 10]
Yo e'rybody, I am Free!!!!!!!!!!

The sickness that has plagued me is at least good enough to allow me to leave the house. The last blood test was today!!  Happy day, happy day.  So, yeah, this week was really a bore.  As far as Hurricane Matthew, there wasn't much to say.  Sadly the hurricane missed Jamaica and went and apparently wrecked Haiti, so yep, please send many prayers out them.  Take care, y'all!

Yours Truly,
