So, hi everybody! Life in May Pen is great, and thanks for
all the emails from everyone. I love
hearing what life is like for all of you. Sorry that I haven't been able to
respond to everyone. I hope y'all understand ;)
So, yeah, I hit my one-month mark and I wouldn't have
noticed if it wasn't for an investigator that Elder Ludlow and I have named
Russel. He was super special because he is the first person that I extended the
invitation to be BAPTIZED. The best part
is HE ACCEPTED, so he is on date for the beginning of October. Super
awesome!!!!!!!
So life out here is exciting and fun. We meet plenty of
Jamaicans that speak such thick Patois [pronounced patwah] that even Elder Ludlow has a hard time
sometimes, and he has been out for a year now. I'm starting to understand it
more now, but it is definitely a struggle many-a-times. I hope you are all
well.
Lots of love,
Elder Nate Smith
